Questions about this site, not the game

toontone.fun is an independent site, online since May 2026, run by one developer. Four of the games here were written for it — Hue Sort, Odd Hue, Hue Mixer and Liquid Hues — and everything else, Toon Tone included, is a third-party game embedded from its developer's own site with a credit and a link on its page. About covers who writes the guides and how the site is paid for; contact is where corrections and takedown requests go.

The four games we built ourselves

These rules come from our own code rather than from watching someone else's game, so they will not change under you:

    • Hue Sort — drag scrambled tiles back into a smooth gradient between two fixed anchors. You are scored on how many tiles ended up in the right slot. No timer.
    • Odd Hue — one tile in the grid is a slightly different shade. You get 60 seconds; each correct tap grows the grid and shrinks the difference, and each wrong tap costs two seconds.
    • Hue Mixer — mix the day's target from red, green and blue sliders in six guesses. Each channel comes back green if it is within 8 of the target, yellow within 40, grey beyond that, plus an overall closeness percentage.
    • Liquid Hues — pour liquids between tubes until each tube holds one color. A pour is only legal onto a matching color or into empty space. Every level is generated by scrambling a solved board, so no deal can be unsolvable.

Which game should I play instead?

If Toon Tone is not the puzzle you were after, the comparison of all 13 color games lays out, in one table, what each one asks you to do, which sliders it gives you, how it scores and whether it is daily or unlimited. The short version: Dialed GG if you want a harder memory test, Hexcodle if you would rather deduce than eyeball, and Liquid Hues if you want something with no timer at all.
